Accreditation at NICVA
NICVA is a recognised provider of certified courses offered by The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). The courses we are offering are tailored for first line managers, middle managers and anyone aspiring to be at any level of management. They also suit those who have evolved into a management position with no formal qualifications to those who sit on the committee/board of a charity.
This year we have on offer two higher level programmes: ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management and the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Coaching/Mentoring. Participants who have already completed the ILM level 3 in First Line Management will find the level 5 in Leadership and Management Diploma an excellent progression route adding on additional modules to their certificate.
If participants can’t commit to the full length ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, they can still complete an ILM Level 5 Award or Certificate in leadership and management from the modules covered on NICVA’s Level 5 Diploma programme and progress later to the full diploma when budgets and time are not so tight.
NICVA still continue to offer the ILM Level 3 Award and Certificate in First Line management and the ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Management, or obtain unit accreditation (single courses).
This flexible approach allows participants to custom-build a qualification which means choosing modules/courses that best suit and are relevant to their job role and their organisation.
The training is delivered in an interactive, participative style with group activities, time for reflection and one-to-one feedback. The programmes are designed using examples and case studies from the voluntary and community sector that are up-to-date and relevant.
