Aviva Community Fund 2018

The Aviva Community Fund is back for 2018 providing funding and support for local projects across the UK.  Could this year be your organisation's turn for funding?

Do you know a local project that needs support?

The Aviva Community Fund has helped hundreds of local projects turn dreams into reality. Aviva are also providing practical, on-going support for projects, like how to crowdfund or build your community network - so everyone can benefit – not just those who get funding.

Your project must make positive changes to people’s lives in one of these categories:

Health and wellbeing

  • For projects helping people take control of their physical and mental health.

Skills for life

  • For communities and individuals improving their lives by learning useful new skills, particularly financial literacy and digital skills.

Environment

  • For projects improving natural surroundings so the next generation has a better environment to enjoy.

And to make sure projects of all sizes have the chance to win, they’re offering four funding levels each up to:

  • £1,000
  • £5,000
  • £10,000
  • £25,000

Are you an Aviva customer? If so, Aviva will donate £200 to the first 1,000 customer submitted projects. It’s worth checking whether anyone involved in your project qualifies and getting them to submit your entry for you. See the terms and conditions here.

Get your community behind you

After submitting, your project needs as many votes as possible to get through to the final, so start drumming up support now.

Aviva have added hints and tips from experts to the Aviva Community Fund site to help you promote your project.

Everyone who registers at aviva.co.uk/community-fund gets 10 votes. They can vote at any time during the voting phase, spreading their votes around or using all 10 to really get behind their favourite project.

Aviva will fund the top-voted entries asking for up to £1,000. The top-voted entries in the £5,000, £10,000 and £25,000 will go through to judging.

Crowdfunding – understand how this works

To support more projects this year, Aviva have partnered with Crowdfunder UK to bring extra funding to your project.

As you gather votes from friends, family and supporters, you can also choose to crowdfund. This means you’ll have a chance to get much needed funds whether you get an Aviva award or not. If you’ve not used crowdfunding before, hopefully this will give projects the knowledge to use it again as a way too fund raise.
