Caretaking Assistant (CA08/18)
NICVA is the lead membership and representative body for the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland. We support organisations ranging from grass roots community groups through to household name charities. We work across the public, private and voluntary community sector for positive social change.
We are looking for a temporary, part time Caretaking Assistant to work closely with our Senior Caretaker, supporting them in preparing for room bookings and any associated hospitality whilst also assisting them in ensuring that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the NICVA building.
Key tasks will include:
- Arranging rooms for room bookings, which includes moving and rearranging furniture and ensuring the provision of any required refreshments and/or catering.
- Cleaning the NICVA building, which includes duties such as cleaning kitchens and toilets, mopping floors, vacuuming and emptying bins.

- Good organisation skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with colleagues and customers.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
