Consultation launched on 'Proposals for a New Regulatory Framework for Social Housing Providers in Northern Ireland'
As part of its Social Housing Reform Programme the Department for Social Development has launched a consultation on Proposals for a New Regulatory Framework for Social Housing Providers in Northern Ireland.
The proposals in the consultation set out the framework that will be used to regulate housing activities and services provided by social landlords.
The consultation proposes a regulatory framework that:
- Protects and empowers tenants;
- Ensures the continued provision of high-quality housing services;
- Provides assurance to tenants, investors and Government; and
- Supports social landlords in service delivery enabling them to become more innovative.
A series of public consultation events have been arranged by the Department as per below:
- City Hotel, Londonderry – 15th April 2015 at 10.30am;
- Belfast Central Mission, Grosvenor House, Belfast – 17th April 2015 at 10.30am; and
- Craigavon Civic Centre - 20th April 2015 at 2.30pm.
