Go online with NICVA training
Do you want to save time and money and still deliver a high quality service? One of the ways that you can do this is to go online with meetings and training sessions. It makes it easier for people to join no matter where they are.
Over the past 2 years NICVA has been introducing a blended approach to learning, combining face-to-face training with online webinars. We have been using GoTo Meeting software to host meetings and online training sessions and have found it easy to use, effective and value for money. Those attending the training have enjoyed the experience too, they have increased their skills and knowledge while sitting at their desks, meaning less downtime and making it more affordable and accessible.
Roisin Kelly, Skills Development Coordinator has been using GoToMeeting for several of her training sessions, she says “GoToMeeting is a brilliant resource for communicating effectively with participants on our training programmes. It is easy to set up and use and means that people are not having to travel to get involved. I use it for all of the ILM and TQUK inductions with participants and have developed a few online training sessions such as Time management and Managing conflict. By doing these sessions online, participants get the key learning points and additional support in a one hour session for a reduced price of £10 saving time and money”
Features of GoToMeeting:
- Connect using any device – mac, pc, mobile
- Face to face on screen
- Share screens/presentations
- Up to 25 participants
- Record meeting
- Chat or type comments/questions
- Scheduling and inviting participants
- Share resources
Is this a resource that could save you and your organisation time and money? Could you use it for meetings instead of travelling across Northern Ireland? Could you use it to deliver short online training sessions to staff and volunteers? To find out more or for a free trial go to - www.gotomeeting.co.uk
NICVA have three online sessions planned over the next few months and we have reduced the cost from by 50% making it £10 for NICVA members and £15 for non-members, to encourage you to book on and try it.
