Good governance and charity reporting

The Developing Governance Group has arranged two further good governance and charity reporting seminars with the Charity Commission and local support networks in both Omagh and Newry.

The seminars have been very well received in Ballymena, Derry City and Belfast.  At the recent seminar in NICVA, Frances McCandless gave an overview of the annual reporting requirements and highlighted other key regulatory challenges for charities.

Denise Hayward, Volunteer Now and Denise Copeland, NICVA outlined how organisations of any size  can use the Code of Good Governance and its resources to help identify and improve governance practice in an organisation.

“Very useful. It has helped me identify where to find guidance online and raised my awareness of what needs to be reported annually.”
