Inspiring Impact: Making a Difference

How do you prove the difference your organisation makes? The Inspiring Impact NI project is aiming to support organisations to apply an approach that will help them better demonstrate the difference that they are making in their communities.

NICVA is delighted to be one of the 13 organisations awarded a grant to support groups to plan for impact practice in Northern Ireland. The project is funded through the Inspiring Impact NI Programme – a Building Change Trust initiative which will support voluntary and community and social enterprise organisations and their funders to better understand and embrace impact practice.

There are some great resources and guidance available online in the form of a Code of Good Practice, Measuring up self-assessment resource and a database of tools and frameworks to help you plan and measure the impact that your work is having. They are all available on the Inspiring Impact NI website.

Over the next few months there will be a lot of information, support and help available to organisations so keep a look out for something that meets your needs. NICVA will be running four masterclasses between October 2014 and May 2015 which will be promoted through our website and social media. These interactive masterclasses will give you a chance to investigate the cycle of impact practice and show you how the Measuring Up self-assessment resource can be of benefit to your organisation. We will also organise four follow up clinics for those interested in taking things a step further.

This is a new and exciting project that will help you define the difference you want to make and focus on how to gather evidence to show you have made a difference. This is vitally important for our sector as there are ever decreasing resources and increasing scrutiny on how those scarce resources are delivered. So don’t miss this chance to avail of help and support to improve how your services and sustainability.
