NICVA Conversation Zone - SDLP Conference 2014

Following the success of the NICVA 'Conversation Zone' at the recent UUP Conference we will be running a similar engagement opportunity at the upcoming SDLP Conference on Saturday 15th November at Ramada Shaw's Bridge.

Many charities, campaigning and community organisations attend party conferences with the aim of talking to elected representatives to gain support for their issue or share information about the concerns of the people they work with. However in the busy conference day this engagement can be limited to quick photo calls or snatched conversations. NICVA has been working with political parties to find a new way to try to carve out some time for more meaningful engagement.

'Conversation Zone' is a chance for voluntary and community organisations to meet with key elected members of the SDLP and raise the issues that are important to them and the people they work with.

If you would like to attend simply come along to the NICVA stand a few minutes before the allocated time for the MLA you would meet - times for individual MLAs will be made available later this week.

Stratagem are also working with partners to develop a Coffee Club series of discussions and debates at the SDLP Conference.  NICVA and Stratagem are working together to ensure that voluntary and community organisations are able to participate in both of these new opportunities for engagement.
