Community Safety Response
NICVA has submitted its response to the new community safety strategy for Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Office Community Safety Unit launched a public consultation on its new community safety strategy "Together. Stronger. Safer" on 27 October 2008.
NICVA has called for the community safety strategy to be developed by local politicians through an inclusive and informed public debate.
In light of representations for more time to respond, Minister of State Paul Goggins decided to extend the consultation on the revised community safety strategy for one month to 19 February 2009. More information is available on the Community Safety Unit's website.
