The aim of the session is to familiarise those involved in faith based social justice work, with the workings of the NI Assembly and its committees. Despite the fact that the Assembly is in suspension this is an invaluable learning for groups engaged in social justice work.

The session will provide you with an understanding of the parliamentary processes which enable the voice of the sector to be heard and articulated at a formal political level.  You will hear from Assembly Community Connect about the role and function of the Assembly and its elected representatives as well as providing an understanding of the role and function of the Assembly Committees. A Committee Clerk will provide input and give advice on the best way to give evidence to a committee.
