This evening session is one in a series of East Belfast Pizza evenings. We plan to meet for some conversation and pizza and then the training session will start. It is aimed at people who are sitting on Management committees or Boards of community groups or voluntary organisations which are active in East Belfast.

This course is for you, whether you are a brand new Committee or Board member, or you’ve been around for a while and feel you’d like a refresher.

Content:

This course will start with pizza at 6pm, and will cover:

  • What is the role of a Management Committee or Board?
  • As a member, what are my roles and responsibilities?
  • What is the Charity Commission, what is charity regulation, and what does it mean for me as a Management Committee or Board Member?
  • What is meant by governance and how do we make sure our governance is good?
