This three-day accredited course is offered as part of the East Belfast Community Capacity and Leadership Programme. It is delivered by the Interaction Institute for Social Change (IISC). Whether or not you think of yourself as a leader, this course will provide practical leadership skills and tools for engaging with others in the community to help you bring out their creativity, experience, ideas, and commitment. In addition, you will have the opportunity to reflect on the leadership role you could play and share this with others.

Please note that this is a 3-day course running on Tuesday 17th, Thursday 19th and Friday 20th April (there is no training on the Wednesday).

In this course, you will learn how to:

  • Involve people in making decisions.
  • Build lasting agreements with others in the community.
  • Inspire a shared vision for your group or community and gain commitment to reaching that vision.
  • Hold effective meetings which make good use of peoples’ time and produce real results.
  • Work with others to develop action plans to move forward the work you are doing.

The course is accredited at ILM Level 3.
