Primary tabs

28 February 2017 -
9:30am to 1:00pm

NICVA in association with Moore Stephens will host a half day seminar to examine the importance of budgeting and forecasting, consider the importance of good financial management as well as insolvency danger signs and give consideration to the opportunities presented by collaboration and mergers within the voluntary community and social enterprise sector in NI.

With the continued threat of reduced funding, it is essential that the charity’s trustees have a good knowledge and solid understanding of its finances. Although keeping on top of the organisation’s financial information can sometimes be a detailed and complex process, even the smallest organisation needs to implement proper financial management. The key action point for many trustees will be to review current fundraising strategies and income streams and understand what funding is in place to enable it to meets its objectives in the short, medium and long term.

You will hear from financial experts from Moore Stephens, Insolvency Practitioners from Begbies Traynor and  a merger case study from NIAMH/Addiction NI.
