Impact series: Using video storytelling to communicate impact

Primary tabs

10 October 2018 -
10:00am to 3:00pm

This training session will help you effectively communicate your impact through video storytelling.

This course is for staff, volunteers or board members of community groups and organisations active in East Belfast, who want to find new, fresh and engaging ways of presenting information about the difference they are making.

The iPad filmmaking training is designed for people with no experience of making videos. It’s carefully structured to introduce the key skills you need to make short factual or training films on your mobile devices. The course is based on Apple’s Camera, we’ll use Apple’s easy iMovie to edit the films.

This course will cover:

  • What do we mean by “video storytelling”?
  • What is it useful for?
  • Identifying the story you want to present and communicate.
  • Practical tools to create your own video story with the chance to try out your new skills.
