Media Connect BBC Engagement Session & Website Launch

Primary tabs

5 February 2019 -
10:00am to 11:45am

Following on from the development of our Media Connect programme, NICVA is pleased to host our first media engagement session with the BBC in Broadcasting House. At this session we will also be unveiling our new Media Connect website.

This session will offer the opportunity to engage and network with journalists, researchers and news team staff from BBC NI and hear from them about how you can better feed into their news and current affairs work including some of the realities of what it is they are looking for from you. You'll also have an opportunitiy to ask them any questions you have in an informal, networking setting. The session, hosted by BBC Head of News, Adam Smyth will take place in the BBC studios in Broadcasting House.

We will also be launching our newly developed Media Connect website at the engagement session. The website will enable journalists and the media to easily and quickly connect with our sector and support better engagement between the voluntary and community sector and the media. We will be inviting journalists to sign up to the Media Connect website ahead of the launch so please ensure you have updated your details as soon as possible.
