Research on the Road Cookstown: Using research to support funding applications

NICVA is continuing its research training roadshow of Northern Ireland, with the next training session being delivered at the Rural Community Network's office in Cookstown. The research is free and will run from 10-1pm.

Want to do a Community Audit but don’t know where to start?

The NICVA research team is going on the road to deliver free research training to support groups with their funding applications. This training will focus on key aspects of the research cycle that can support you in developing an evidence base for your funding applications.

This training will cover the following areas:

  • Sources of primary and secondary data. 
  • Research methods that can be used in community audits, including questionnaires and focus groups.
  • The structure and layout of questionnaires.
  • How to word questions correctly.

This training is free and is only available to those working or volunteering in the voluntary and community sector. The training will run from 10-1pm. Participants will be required to bring a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop.
