8 February 2018 - 10:00am to 8 March 2018 - 1:00pm

This course - delivered over two half days - is offered as part of the East Belfast Community Capacity and Leadership Programme. In the course, delivered by Louise Brogan of Social Bee, you will learn the essential skills you need to make the most of using social media in your group or organisation.

In this practical, interactive course, you will learn:

How can you use Facebook and Twitter to connect with the people that you need to speak with? Find out how to make your Facebook page a trusted resource for your organisation. Grow your community and really engage with them to help spread the story of what you do, and your impact.  Learn some quick and easy techniques to boost your Facebook reach. Learn how to really use Twitter to reach out to your stakeholders and learn how to network with funders and journalists from the mainstream media.

Prerequisite: You must already be set up as an administrator on your organisation’s Facebook Page and Twitter account. Note – if you have not yet set up a Facebook Page or Twitter account for your organisation, this may not be the course for you. Please bring along your own laptop or iPad (not a phone!) to log in to your own organisation’s account.
