Using donor information fairly and lawfully (Data Fridays)

Primary tabs

24 February 2017 -
10:00am to 12:00pm

A two hour workshop delivered by the Information Commissioners Office on using donor information fairly and lawfully.

Come along to this workshop and learn about using the information of your donors lawfully, and a way that is fair to them. Using case studies we will explore how communicating to individuals can keep you on the right side of compliance, but ultimately maintain the trust of your donors.

This #DataFriday session will also include feedback from the Fundraising and Regulatory Compliance Conference in Manchester on 21 February 2017.

The Manchester conference, organised by the ICO, Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator, will set out the regulatory requirements and expectations for fundraising bodies and their boards under current and forthcoming data protection legislation.  The Fundraising Regulator (England) will also be launching its guidance on consent.

We’ll be looking at these important issues from a Northern Ireland perspective and discussing what next steps are needed locally.

This session is part of our Data Fridays series and is delivered in partnership with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
