Many voluntary and community organisations are worried that the upcoming budget will have a disproportionate impact on vulnerable people and disadvantaged communities. At this seminar representatives from the Equality Commission and the NI Human Rights Commission will outline how organisations can apply tools like Section 75, the Human Rights Act and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child to their lobbying and campaigning on the budget. It will outline any statutory responsibilities departments have to take these issues into account and offer advice on the scope of existing legislation.
This event is free to NICVA members and places are strictly limited.
