GrantTracker Meet the Funders 2010
NICVA is organising a Meet the Funders event in January to kickstart fundraising for 2010. NICVA is pleased to announce the participation of a wide range of funding bodies and social finance organisations.
NICVA, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast, BT15 2GB
As in 2009 when NICVA ran a similar event in Belfast and Derry, the Meet the Funders event provides an opportunity to visit the funders table of your choice to gather information and ask a question or two directly to the funder themselves.
The event on 25 January 2010 at NICVA has had confirmation that the following organisations plan to take part.
- Abbey/Santander (Northern Ireland)
- BBC Children in Need Appeal
- Big Lottery Fund
- Charity Bank
- Comic Relief
- Community Development & Health Network Northern Ireland
- Community Foundation for Northern Ireland
- Community Relations Council
- Co-operation Ireland
- Heritage Lottery Fund (Northern Ireland)
- Learning & Skills Development Agency NI
- Nationwide Foundation
- NICVA GrantTracker
- NIE (Viridian)
- Sport Northern Ireland
- Ulster Community Investment Trust
- Unity Trust Bank plc
- UnLtd

NICVA will also have a number of other organisations available for consultation, including Marsh Insurance, Gauge, NICVA Governance, NICVA Membership Information and the Institute of Fundraising. We expect other organisations to confirm in the coming weeks but the actual organisations participating on the day is subject to the normal degree of change.
Event Date, Time and Venue
This event will run from 4.00pm to 6.00pm on Monday, 25 January 2010 and is expected to be very busy. Please do not arrive without having registered first. Please do not arrive early as the exhibitions will not open until 4.00pm. For some it may be better to plan your arrival after 5.00pm to avoid the initial rush. The event will take place in NICVA, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast BT15 2GB.
If the event is fully booked we will place your name on a reserve list for invitation to a subsequent event should we organise one.
Event Registration
You must register for the event in advance and we are limiting numbers but the event is free to attend. Registration is open to NICVA members first. From 11 January 2010 non-NICVA members may register, subject to places being available. Groups who wish to apply for NICVA membership at the same time as registering for the event can also do so before 11 January 2010.
To register contact Georgie Finlay on 028 9087 7777 or email georgie.finlay@nicva.org
Getting here and Parking
NICVA has a number of free parking spaces available for those attending events. Unfortunately these can't be reserved and are available on a first come basis. NICVA's spaces are clearly marked and we would ask that visitors only use spaces allocated to NICVA when attending an event. Parking is also available on Duncairn Gardens and surrounding areas within close walking distance. NICVA is also a short walk from Yorkgate Train Station and you can easily catch a bus from the city centre (no 1D) direct to Duncairn Gardens, or (no 61 and 64) to Cityside Centre (a few minutes walk).
