HR: Key Equality Policies (G2)
As part of the ECNI/NICVA Equality Champion HR Specialist Seminars. The Equality Commission will provide a succinct update on current developments in equality legislation and recommended employment practice at this event at NICVA on 19 January 2011.

Module Aim: To assist employers seeking to benchmark and review their main equality practices against best practice equality indicators.
Learning Objectives: By the end of the seminar participants should have had an opportunity to have considered:
- The key elements of the anti-discrimination legislation which outline the requirement to promote equality of opportunity and prevent discrimination.
2. Equality indicators for:
- Promoting equality of opportunity
- Preventing Harassment
- Equality Monitoring
- Affirmative or Positive Action outreach work
3. Factors Case-law and examples highlighting factors relevant to specific equality grounds.
4. An implementation plan outlining the key steps to take when developing / reviewing relevant
employment policies.
5. Signposting to additional guidance and supporting materials.

- Equality / Diversity Policy / Employment Equality Plan
- Harassment & Bullying / Dignity at Work Policy
- Equality Monitoring Policy
