Looking after your people in tough times (M)
This one day course provides an insight into the causes and symptoms of stress, helping delegates to recognise warning signs in themselves and in others, and offers some practical guidance in managing personal stress.
NICVA, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast BT15 2GB
For many organisations that are already operating on small margins the only way to survive hard times is through freezing or reducing their costs. The continual challenge of balancing the books, prioritising essential expenditures over those that are dispensable can have a significant impact on the people who work within an organisation and those who engage with it.
Often the only way organisations can make the kind of reductions needed to survive is through reducing their payroll; redundancies, reduced hours, pay freezes. While most people understand the economic necessity of such measures, it can leave employees feeling vulnerable, worried, or resentful.
Target audience: HR managers, health and safety personnel, team leaders, or anyone with an interest in stress management.
