This course will give participants basic skills to help market their organisation.  It will also demonstrate to participants how to use these skills in formulating a marketing strategy for their organisation.

This course will give participants the skills to apply a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) to their organisation, and to describe and apply the seven elements of the marketing mix, in a voluntary and community context.  The course will then demonstrate to participants how to use these tools in formulating a marketing strategy for their organisation.

 

Objectives:

  • Explain why the marketing concept is relevant for managers within the context of the voluntary and community sector.
  • Describe and apply a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats).
  • Describe and apply the seven elements of the marketing mix within the context of their work
  • Developing a marketing strategy document for a voluntary and community organisation

Cancellations Policy
If you are unable to attend an event, please cancel no less than five working days in advance. Failure to do so will result in you being charged the full amount, if a training course, or a nominal fee of £20 for all other events.

Getting here and Parking
NICVA has a number of free parking spaces available for those attending events. Unfortunately these can't be reserved and are available on a first come basis. NICVA's spaces are clearly marked and we would ask that visitors only use spaces allocated to NICVA when attending an event. Parking is also available on Duncairn Gardens and surrounding areas within close walking distance. NICVA is also a short walk from Yorkgate Train Station and you can easily catch a bus from the city centre (no 1D) direct to Duncairn Gardens, or (no 61 and 64) to Cityside Centre (a few minutes walk).
