Social Media for Awareness and Fundraising Workshop
This workshop provides an opportunity to get expert advice on the use of social media in the voluntary and community sector. Discover how to get started with the tools available and learn how to avoid the pitfalls to ensure you make the best impact possible in raising awareness and fundraising for your organisation.
NICVA,
61 Duncairn Gardens,
Belfast,
BT15 2GB
Many voluntary organisations are missing a great opportunity to reach out to a wider community of service users, volunteers and donors. The social media revolution is well under way and in general the level of understanding of how to get the best impact from this channel is low.
This workshop shows organisations that are new to social media how to use the various products available to raise awareness and to fundraise. It will also be useful for organisations that have begun to use the tools but are getting little or no return.
Using case studies and real life examples, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to use social networking effectively to achieve their organisations goals.
The workshop will be facilitated by Michael Hughes, Innovation Advisor at Invest Northern Ireland.
To book a place at the workshop please email cathy.breslin@nicva.org or call 028 9087 7777.

Getting here and Parking
NICVA has a number of free parking spaces available for those attending events. Unfortunately these can't be reserved and are available on a first come basis. NICVA's spaces are clearly marked and we would ask that visitors only use spaces allocated to NICVA when attending an event.
Parking is also available on Duncairn Gardens and surrounding areas within close walking distance. NICVA is also a short walk from Yorkgate Train Station and you can easily catch a bus from the city centre (no 1D) direct to Duncairn Gardens, or (no 61 and 64) to Cityside Centre (a few minutes walk).
