Understanding performance management*
This two day Understanding Performance Management programme is suitable for anyone wanting to learn best practice or wishing to develop their knowledge and skills when supporting and supervising staff within their work settings. The programme is accredited through the Institute of Leadership and Management and successful completion will provide you with a Level 3 Award in Effective Management.

Aim
To enable participants to provide performance management as an ongoing process that can be monitored and mapped throughout your organisation.
The programme focuses on managing staff as an ongoing process and how your management style can have a direct impact on your staff and their performance. We will look at providing you with the tools to help you develop the day to day performance of your staff. We will provide you will the tools to give honest constructive feedback, helping remove the perception of negative feedback and allowing you to own the feedback you give.
This programme will also provide you with an overview of how to provide long term and professional support for those you manage.
Objectives
- Understand the value of assessing performance to meet organisational and individual needs
- Identify your teams development needs and learning styles
- Motivate your work team to improve performance in the workplace
- Use practical feedback methods to improve communication and performance within you work team.

Getting here and Parking
NICVA has a number of free parking spaces available for those attending events. Unfortunately these can't be reserved and are available on a first come basis. NICVA's spaces are clearly marked and we would ask that visitors only use spaces allocated to NICVA when attending an event.
Parking is also available on Duncairn Gardens and surrounding areas within close walking distance. NICVA is also a short walk from Yorkgate Train Station and you can easily catch a bus from the city centre (no 1D) direct to Duncairn Gardens, or (no 61 and 64) to Cityside Centre (a few minutes walk).
