In June 2005, NICVA held a conference to discuss the implications of the recommendations in Positive Steps, the government's response to report from the Taskforce on Future Funding of Voluntary and Community Sector. Delegates at that conference expressed the desire to get together again at a later date and review how the recommendations have been implemented. This conference aims to do just that.

Amongst other things, it will explore how far we have travelled down the road of long term strategic funding, full cost recovery, increasing policy capacity, developing a strong regional support structure, improving governance and developing ICT and skills strategies.
