The Equality Commission and NICVA will be running a number of Equality Workshops aimed at the voluntary and community sector.

This one day workshop on Developing a Strategy for Preventing Age Discrimination in Employment will take place Wednesday 4 and Friday 6 October 2006 at 10.00am in NICVA.

Brian Drury from the Equality Commission will take participants through:

  • An overview of the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006
  • Why age discrimination legislation is required
  • Key issues for employers to consider
  • Recommended employment practice
  • Action plan for implementing recommended practice

Each session will accommodate a maximum number of 15 attendees, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Tea and coffee will be served on arrival.
