This course provides the knowledge and skills required to manage effectively in a voluntary/community sector organisation and manage your own personal effectiveness. It covers topics such as strategic planning, assertiveness, and performance management. It begins with a two-day residential 27-28 March 2006 and continues on Mondays after that (except the three public holidays). First Line Management is accredited through the Open College Network and on completion of your portfolio and 4 assignments you achieve 18 credits at level 3.
