We've heard back from many of you that you've received our State of the Sector V survey and we're in a flurry of activity with the information you've already sent - but we want as many people to respond as possible.

State of the Sector V

We would be grateful if you would take a few moments to complete the survey and return it, along with a set of your most recent annual accounts by 4 July 2008. (Please note that we are now continuing to accept submissions after this date, as we think it's important to gather as many of your views as possible.)

No matter how small or large your organisation is, we need to hear from you.

We would also appreciate it if you could inform us if your organisation is no longer active so that we can ensure our database is up to date.

For those of you who are not aware of State of the Sector, it has over the past 12 years become the main way in which we inform government, funders and the media of the scale and impact of the sector in Northern Ireland.

For this fifth edition the focus will be on showing the contribution and size that each part of the voluntary and community sector makes, individually and collectively. We want to look at the different sub-sectors that make up the voluntary and community sector, where the funding comes from and how many people are employed. We know this targeted information will allow the sector to engage more effectively with government, funders and the media when demonstrating the relevance of the voluntary and community sector to society in Northern Ireland.
