Oaklee Housing asked NICVA to deliver the Train the Trainers programme as part of the continued professional support offered to their staff.
Oaklee Housing and the Train the Trainers programme
The Train the Trainers programme is accredited by ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) as an endorsed award at Level 3. NICVA used Key Associates Ltd to get the participants registered and accredited by ILM and in future NICVA hopes to be able to register and accredit students itself.
The goal of Oaklee management is that their staff be in a position to deliver their own in-house training programmes.
"Oaklee is delighted to be associated with the course run by NICVA for Trainers, which has both personal and business benefits for the Association. The Vice Chair Mrs Sylvia Doran was pleased to present certificates to the successful staff and expressed appreciation to Roisin for all her efforts in running the programme."
The Train the Trainers programme takes aspiring trainers through two days of practice in training, during which they learn the values and principles of facilitation, learning styles, preparing support materials, delivery techniques and evaluating training. On the third day participants deliver a 20 minute presentation which is recorded on video and forms part of the assessment process with ILM.
NICVA is delighted to have facilitated the programme and the participants were open and approachable to the whole learning process.
