Make Poverty History. Edinburgh rally in pictures

NICVA staff were among the 225,000 crowd that marched on Edinburgh to tell G8 leaders to Make Poverty History in the world's poorest countries.

NICVA staff were among a crowd of over 225,000 people who marched on Edinburgh on Saturday 2 July 2005 in support of the Make Poverty History campaign.

Lisa McElherron, Zoë Anderson (both public affairs unit) and John McCormick (information officer) joined colleagues from the Northern Ireland offices of Oxfam, Trocaire, Concern and Save the Children.

The 'E' for a banner to spell POVERTYSpelling out POVERTY. NICVA brought the letter E for a banner that would spell out POVERTY along the railings of Princes Street Gardens. It was decorated with messages of support for the campaign.
