Over 200 organisations have responded to NICVA's challenge to sign up to the One Small Step Campaign. There is still time for your organisation to make a commitment to the campaign.
As part of Community Relations Week NICVA wrote to all its member organisations asking them to sign up to a challenge from the One Small Step Campaign.
The challenge reads: "I/we as a citizen affirm my/our commitment to a civil society in which all individuals are considered as equals, where differences are resolved through dialogue in the public sphere, and where all citizens are treated impartially. To that end I/will oppose sectarianism, racism and all other manifestations of intolerance and violence."
High response rate
Members were asked to send their signed challenge back by the end of April. Over 200 organisations responded within a couple of weeks and there is still time to send in your organistion's commitment.
Signed challenges should be sent to:
Teresa Flanagan at NICVA, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast BT15 2GB.
