Service provision - the future of the voluntary and community sector?

NICVA conference 200The Review of Public Administration in Northern Ireland presents opportunities for an enhanced role in service provision.

Context

In Great Britain, the major review of the third sector as part of the Treasury's comprehensive spending review and the creation of a minister of the third sector in the recent cabinet reshuffle have meant that the landscape of national government facing the third sector now looks significantly different.

Questions

Will these announcements make any difference and what does this mean for Northern Ireland?

What does all of this mean for voluntary and community organisations? What are the opportunities? What are the pitfalls?
