NICVA shows support for North Belfast community workers threatened by the Continuity IRA

The Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) strongly condemns the death threats issued to community workers in North Belfast by the Continuity IRA.

NICVA's Chief Executive Seamus McAleavey said:

"This completely flies in the face of the opinions of the community in North Belfast and beyond. They have no support and we call for these dangerous and totally unacceptable threats to be withdrawn immediately. The people and organisations affected by these threats are dedicated community activists who are working tirelessly to rebuild communities in North Belfast that have suffered through the worst of the conflict. This vital work must be allowed to continue and they have NICVA's full support".
