If the voluntary and community sector is to continue to play an ever increasing role in Northern Ireland then it is important that we know more about the environment in which we operate, how it is changing and how these changes may affect long-term plans.

As you may already be aware, NICVA’s Viewfinder surveys attempt to shed some light on the attitudes to key themes and policies that are likely to impact upon the sector.

What is in this edition of viewfinder?

The survey covers:

  • the introduction of the smoking ban,
  • devolution in Northern Ireland,
  • the issue of a draft Code of Governance for the voluntary and community sector, and
  • the idea of mergers.
