NICVA's response to the consultation on an accessible transport strategy.

NICVA calls for the Department of Regional Development (DRD) to rethink its draft strategy by broadening the scope of accessibility to include the needs of the poor, older people and people with disabilities.

The reponse also recommends that DRD develop an overarching strategy that includes extended provision, funding arrangements, the location of public transport routes and the implications for the voluntary and community sector.
