NICVA's submission to the Department for Culture Arts and Leisure.
This submission is based on NICVA's stakeholders meeting convened on the 30 September 2004 and from NICVA's experience of lottery funding in its ten year history and lottery reform and associated consultation to date.
NICVA is representing the best interests of the whole voluntary and community sector on the direction of lottery funding and in particular funding from the Big Lottery Fund (the Fund). The sector is facing a very uncertain funding environment in the coming years due to reducing monies from the European Union and National Lottery together with increased demands upon the sector to reform. This highlights the importance of lottery funding to the development of a sustainable sector.
NICVA views this consultation as one of the most important issues facing our sector.
