Membership

The Funding Advice Network is facilitated by NICVA. It includes individuals who provide funding advice as a substantial part of their role in community and voluntary activity. This includes community development workers, funding advice officers, grants officers, council officers, government departments and community centre staff.

Aim of the network

To support and advance the role of funding advice provided by the voluntary and community sector with individuals across Northern Ireland through networking, resourcing and training.

Goals

  1. A funding advice service which is better informed and resourced.
  2. Equal distribution of the geography and issues of funding advice.
  3. Coordinated and consistent provision of information.
  4. Improve representation and advocacy on policy matters.
  5. Prevent duplication of research into funding sources
  6. Develop training programmes and resources for statutory bodies and external interests.
