Insurance: let us help you

Guidance on insurance for voluntary and community organisations from NICVA's membership officer.

Insurance is vital for all types of organisations. Having employer's liability and public liability insurance is a legal obligation for any organisation with staff, whether they are salaried or volunteers.

NICVA offers its own insurance scheme to members which is tailored to the needs of the sector. As more members join the scheme, so too does NICVA's ability to negotiate the best deal.

The scheme is underwritten by Allianz and arranged through Marsh Ltd.

At a time when we were having great difficulty in obtaining any type of insurance cover, and our organisation was in serious danger of having to cease operation, Marsh Ltd through the NICVA scheme were able to provide us with the policy we needed to continue providing our services. Ron McMurray, Dismas House

Benefits of the NICVA scheme

  1. Competitive prices.
  2. Comprehensive cover, tailored to non profit events.
  3. Local underwriting and claims.
  4. Expert knowledge and key understanding of our business.
  5. Free advice and guidance.
As a member of the NICVA/Marsh insurance scheme, the PEAT management committee would like to thank NICVA for your continued input into the partnership with Allianz and Marsh Ltd as our premium has been reduced from last year's costs. Lynsay Mulcahy, Parents' Education as Autism Therapists

Current negotiations

At present we are negotiating renewal terms on your behalf for 2005. We are confident that we will secure sizeable reductions and favourable conditions on last year's premiums.
