Questions to the Minister for Education
Mid-Ulster MLA Francie Molloy will ask the Minister to detail the progress to date on the Sustainable Schools policy.
Mid-Ulster MLA Francie Brolly will ask the Minister to detail how her department plans to build on the work of Creative Youth Partnerships, in partnership with the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure.
Michelle O’Neill (Mid-Ulster) will ask what steps the Minister has taken to secure maximum funding for the extended schools programme.
Questions to the Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure
North Belfast MLA Fred Cobain will ask the Minister what steps he is taking to make sporting excellence available to inner city areas and areas of multiple deprivation.
David McNarry (Strangford) will ask what contingency plans the Minister has in place to spend the money initially allocated by his department for the Maze project if it is rejected by the Department of Finance and Personnel.
South Antrim MLA Dr William McCrea will ask the Minister to detail the number of councils that have taken up offers for community festival funding.

Prevention of Suicide and Self-harm
Iris Robinson, Chairperson of the Committee for Health, Social Services and Public Safety, has tabled a motion:
“That this Assembly approves the Report of the Committee for Health, Social Services and Public Safety (27/07/08R) on its Inquiry into the Prevention of Suicide and Self Harm; and calls on the Executive to bring forward, before the summer recess, a timeframe for implementing the recommendations in the report.”

Re-classification of cannabis
DUP MLAs Alastair Ross and Iris Robinson have tabled a joint motion:
“That this Assembly notes the findings within the report of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs; and believes that cannabis should be re-classified as a Class B drug.”
Extended Schools Funding
Ulster Unionist Party MLAs Basil McCrea, Ken Robinson, Roy Beggs and Maurice Elliott have tabled a joint motion:
“That this Assembly expresses concern that the Extended Schools funding for children and young people has not been mainstreamed; and calls on the Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister and the Department of Education to ensure that this essential support for children and young people continues.”
