NICVA condemns racist attacks

NICVA, the umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector has added its voice to the condemnation of recent racist attacks in the Craigavon area.

NICVA Chief Executive, Seamus McAleavey, said: “It is absolutely abhorrent to the majority of people in Northern Ireland that people should be singled out and attacked because of their colour or their religion. The voluntary and community sector is working across Northern Ireland to secure equality and human rights for everyone, regardless of where they come from or how they worship. We utterly condemn these attacks and the people who are carrying them out .”
