The Equality Commission will be delivering a series of seminars this autumn in partnership with NICVA to help voluntary and community sector employers meet responsibilities under employment equality legislation.
All seminars are free of charge and will be hosted by NICVA at 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast.
The programme is as follows:
- Equality Awareness: - An introduction to equality employment law suitable for all levels of employee - 25 September 2008
- Notes and Queries: A briefing lunch aimed at providing managers and HR professionals with an update on current developments in Equality legislation and best practice - 15 October 2008
- Work-life balance: Workshop aimed at managers and HR professionals seeking to manage or develop flexible working patterns in an equitable manner - 11 November 2008
- Bullying and Harassment at Work: Seminar suitable for all employees seeking an understanding of the types of behaviour that lead to complaints of harassment or bullying and the responsibilities placed on employers and employees to prevent these occurring (co-delivered with the Labour Relations Agency) - 2 December 2008
