NICVA, in partnership with local community networks, has completed a series of information events encouraging organisations to make the most of the consultation period on the draft Programme for Government.

NICVA, in partnership with local community networks, has completed a series of information events encouraging organisations to make the most of the consultation period on the draft Programme for Government.

Understanding the Budget

Events held in Derry, Cookstown and Belfast provided information on the Public Expenditure System in Northern Ireland and how to engage with the budget process.

Analysis

NICVA also provided an analysis of the Draft Programme for Government, Budget and Investment Strategy. Organisations were asked to contribute to NICVA’s response by sharing their thoughts on the three documents.

Response

NICVA will be submitting a response to the consultation by 21 December. Copies of the documents can be downloaded from www.pfgbudgetni.gov.uk.

The consultation period will close on 4 January 2008. Responses should be sent to arrive by the closing date to:
