The NICVA Management Development Programme prospectus for 2005-06.
This is now the third year of the Management Development Programme. Since October 2003 when the programme began, 337 managers and over 180 organisations have participated in courses offered at the three management levels.
Individuals and organisations are already experiencing the benefits of improved management skills, such as better supervision practices, improved strategic planning and more assertive staff.
The programme is helping all types and sizes of organisations to become more effective and efficient. This in turn will affect the sustainability of the sector, equipping it to work strategically and manage change in the future.
The programme offers a variety of management courses at different levels:
- First line
- Supervisory
- Senior management
This provides a wide range of opportunities for development and meets a variety of training needs. The programmes at each level offer both accredited and non accredited courses and they range in length from two days to two years.
NICVA is pleased to support 75% of the costs of each of the programmes for those who are successful in securing a place, which will make these development opportunities more affordable for all organisations in the sector.
