Anti poverty guide development

Invitation to tender for 3 guides to explain relevant anti poverty structures in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Combat Poverty Agency in association with Comhairle and the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) invites proposals on the development and drafting of three short guides for the voluntary and community sector on key anti-poverty policy structures and personnel at government department and relevant state agency level covering:

  • Social Welfare (Dept of Social and Family Affairs and related agencies): e.g. poverty and social exclusion, social welfare schemes, social welfare payment levels, pensions, means testing, social insurance
  • Local Government: Dept of Environment, Heritage and Local Government e.g. NAP/inclusion structures, local government policy, housing and accommodation, County/City Development Boards, SIMS Committees, Strategic Policy committees etc, Clár, RAPID.
  • Government’s annual budget process (Ireland and Northern Ireland)

It is anticipated that the guides will be published by December 2006. To meet this date the sign off on content and proofing is envisaged to be completed by September 2006. These guides can be tendered for on an individual basis or as a group. Preference will be given to proposals for more than one publication.

A maximum budget of €15,000 (incl VAT) is available.

The closing date for proposals is 25 April 2006 at 5.00pm.
