Sometimes voluntary and community groups may find it advantageous or necessary to establish sub-committees to tackle specific projects or investigate new areas of work.One of the main benefits of setting up a sub-committee is that it allows more time to focus on specific issues. It is also an excellent opportunity to involve expertise from outside the committee. This guide looks at setting up the sub-committee and potential pitfalls.
