This month's round up

Charity Commission Announced

As the summer draws to a close, the long running saga of a new Charity Commission for Northern Ireland is about to be resolved, with Royal Assent expected shortly and a new Commission in place by the end of the year. With this in mind, it might be an opportune time to take advantage of a NICVA governance review, which can look at your policies and procedures and suggest ways of making your organisation's governance more effective.

Shape our future

NICVA itself is keen to take advice from you, our members, on where you feel we should be going over the next few years. To this end we'd welcome your comments on our proposed strategy and refreshed mission, vision and values.

Welcome to the all-new Grant Tracker

We've been saying for some time now to keep an eye out for the all new Grant Tracker -- well it's finally here and we think you'll love it. With clever new functionality such as saveable searching and site personalisation, you'll find the site more interactive and easier to use than ever before.

Age Awareness

September ends with Age Awareness Week, which this year will highlight discrimination against older people, particularly in relation to the provision of goods, services and facilities. It will also challenge negative stereotypes of older people.

Members' Day

Finally, autumn usually brings thoughts of training and development and we at NICVA are no exception with our training calendar back in full swing and another of our popular Members' Days planned for early October, this time with a 'relationships' theme.
