Mission

It is Adopt's mission to work in partnership with other support organisations and agencies to provide support which will empower members of the adoption and looked-after communities to improve the quality of their lives and relationships through personal growth.

Our services are open to adoptees, young people leaving foster/residential care, birth and adoptive parents, relatives and partners of the above and professionals working to support those people.

Our services include: support groups, one-to-one support, specialist counselling, information and advice, a specialist library, help to remain anonymous, help for birth parents to write letters to their children who have been adopted, intermediary work, a tracing service for the public, a tracing service for organisations and a free tracing service for social workers in the Northern Ireland HSC Trusts and two of the voluntary adoption agencies.
