Mission

The CTA is a rapidly growing national charity giving voice and providing leadership, learning and enterprise support to a wide range of organisations delivering innovative and flexible transport solutions to achieve social change in their communities.

Whatever type of organisation you are: a charity; a voluntary or community group; a social enterprise; or a local authority - if you provide transport to your members or the public, then the CTA is here to help you.

Our Vision is of “A fairer society free of social exclusion and injustice where everyone has personal choice, mobility and access to the services they require.”

The CTA works to achieve our Vision by:

>  Representing the views of voluntary and community transport in the UK to influence government at all levels, and build support and investment for the sector

>  Inspiring and empowering our members across the UK through leadership. Learning and enterprise and encouraging participation to bring about change

>  Working towards an integrated transport network which embraces accessible, community-based transport services to achieve a fairer society and sustainable communities

Our Values guide the way we behave.  The four values are permanent and unchanging and form the heart of the CTA.  They are:

Equity:  We ensure equal opportunity for all, and promote social justice and inclusive communities through accessibility and diversity.

Integrity:  Our relationships are based on trust, goodwill and support.  We are responsible and efficient with our resources and transparent in all that we do.

Pioneering:  We support our members, staff and trustees to push the boundaries and develop new ways of working.  This includes assessing opportunities, removing barriers, taking risks and adopting a more entrepreneurial style in our work.

Engaging:  We use teamwork, cooperation and partnerships to connect with people and ensure that every encounter with the CTA is a positive one.  We listening and respond to feedback and promote quality in all that we do.
