Mission

SENAC is a registered charity providing free, independent advice, information and Advocacy to parents of children with special educational needs in Northern Ireland up to 19 years. SENAC offer advice initially through their telephone Advice Line and Website. They advise across the entire range of learning difficulties/disabilities and can offer parents help with understanding school based stages 1-3, interpreting Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), drafting letters and guidance on the Statutory Assessment process. SENAC can also run information sessions for parents, Boards of Governors and voluntary organisations. SENAC will also accompany parents to meetings with ELBs and attend school meetings with teachers, SENCOs and Principals.
